When I reboot or start the machine I get the finder icon with a question mark for 2 seconds then I get the apple logo and everthing is normal. Does anyone know why I get the ? finder icon?

That worked! Thanks lundy. One a side note, does anyone know of a ide to firewire cable for the 2.5inch internal drive. I still want to use my 80GB Fujitsu.

How much are you getting PC3200 for? Last time I checked they were both about the same. DDR2 was cheaper. Anyways, if you get 3200 let us know how it works.

It may work if it is backword compatible otherwise it may not get recognized. Clock speed is not the same and that would heat the cpu. 2700 runs 167MHz and 3200 runs 200MHz. Check your specs.

Thanks for the clarification! Apple should list the drive capacity as 74.5GiB not GB. I am about to get a 160GB (149GiB) drive and just wanted to be clear that I dont have any controller issues.
