I think I've fixed it. I actually removed all those plist, history, etc. files from my home library folder, not just my applications library folder...I think that did the trick. Thanks for you help.

Does this mean the MacBook Pro could have 16, 32, 64, etc. GB of RAM? Would the only limitation be sofware or market demand?

I see netbooks lasting because consumers are ok with buying a computer at 1/3 the price, with 1/3 the performance, but 3 times as often. Given the rapid advancement of computer technology, this isn't necessarily a bad decision. I'm still using m…

What about durability from abuse? Laptops get moved around a lot, dropped, spilled on, etc. Have the motion/acceleration sensors installed to lock HDDs basically made them as durable as SSDs?

Thanks for the replies. Clearing my history, cache, cookies, and restarting my computer were the first things I did. I figured thinksecret was down due to legal action, but it had been up for a while since the article came out, so I wasn't sure …

Performa 636CD I don't remember the specs, though. Might have been 16 MB RAM and a 250 MB HD or somewhere less. That computer froze and crashed more than Windows 98.

I'd honestly prefer option 1 or 2 since I already have an iSight, although options 1 and 3 are the most seemless and elegant.

The only thing I ever ask of Apple Stores sales people are: "where is X located," and "can I have your number?"

Memory space is calculated in advertisements as 1MB = 1,000 KB instead of 1,024 KB.

I think it's because it has two cores. So if both cores were running at "full throttle" then you'd see 200%. Anyone want to confirm this? "Normal" operations shouldn't require more than 100% of one core, I would assume.
