They're building an Apple store 600 feet away from an existing one, and I still have to drive an hour to get to an Apple store from where I am in NJ. \ Hopefully one of those dozens of upcoming new stores will land somewhere in my vicinity.

That number sounds pretty optimistic to me. That's almost as many iPhones as Apple has sold in the last 4 quarters, and the iPhone is a more established product with a lower price. I'd be surprised if they sold 20 of them million in 2011, although…

Macworld without Macs? Looks like they're going to have to start thinking about a new name.

APPLE, NOO! The last thing we need is another proprietary cable type like ADC. I've got a $99 ADC to DVI converter brick sitting in a drawer to prove it. I like that Apple wants to reduce cable clutter, but making a new cable type that no one e…

I like this approach, but I hope it is applied more widely than just private APIs. I'm no programmer, but from what I understand, the use of private APIs is a decision, not an accident. As long as one is aware of the rules against their use, it's …

This is stupid. I was expecting to read that they'd charge around 50¢, which would be reasonable for a single streaming view of a TV episode. At $2, I can't imagine what advantage they think they'd be offering over iTunes.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see Apple lose this case, actually. I am not so sure about the argument that Pystar is actually breaking the law. An EULA is not the same as a contract, after all, and tends to be less enforceable. If they do lose, …

If this is true, they'll probably just say "shipping in October" or whenever and play it off like that was always the plan. The only thing I can think of is if the part just wasn't working as Apple wanted it to, I don't see how they'd have trouble …

Sounds good, but I have a feeling that this is going to be heavily locked down to keep people from removing DRM from videos. Just as you can't take screenshots with DVD player open, I bet this won't let you record video when iTunes is playing a vid…
