I've done my research and they are overpriced in terms of hardware. On the other hand... they have no competition in design/looks, HW/SW/Driver integration and of course OS X. The 2K is fine thanks to the $150 a couple of stores seem to offer...…

^^^ Very cool but I just don't agree on the "MacBook Pro" name... it should be more like... 11.1" MacBook Nano/Mini (WXGA - 1366x768) 13.3" MacBook (WXGA - 1280x800) 15.4" MacBook Pro (Move to a WSXGA+ display std) 17.0" MacBook Pro HD (Assumi…

Leaving the optical drive out would mean an ultraportable... but isn't a 13.3 incher too big for an ultraportable? If it is a 13.3 incher I would say these are the new MBs, and so... would need to have an optical drive. Something just doesn't add…

I hope so, but at the same time I doubt it. They are somehow able to get away with forcing people to pay 2K+ just to have a > 13.3" screen and/or dedicated graphics... they'll keep doing it... more money for them... less choices for us. IMO MB…

It'll so dissapointing if Apple starts as a habit having the MacBook use previous generation tech and leave the current generation stuff for its Pro models... I mean... the difference in clock speed, screen size and graphics should be enough. It'…

That's what I expected... there is no way he is going to say that its coming soon cause... it'll just kill present sales.

Does this happen with any other media player applications besides iTunes?

I don't like the way the "green button" behaves either... I'd prefer a maximize functionality. There is free app (don't remember the name) that changes it so that the button behaves like a maximize... but in my experience, it left a 1 or 2 pixel …

Say hello to unlocking software. You can add a MediaMax 200 plan for $20 if you want edge functionality.
-
Read here... http://www.hacktheiphone.com/ Right now it's kind of complicated... but there is group who is making a GUI based version of the unlock software which should automate everything to the point of just clicking/touching "unlock".

Yep, you could just unlock it, and not put a SIM card in it. Use it as an iPod and/or as an internet device (WIFI). Only the phone part would not work (calls, voice mail, edge). The biggest hassle would be having to worry about unlocking it every ti…

Yes... MBs should be receiving an update pretty soon. Last year there were updated in November and then 6 months later (May 2007)... they received a slight CPU speed bump. November 2007 should make them 6 months old once again... just after Leopard …

I'm confused... If Paris Expo 2007 is on September 25-29, then what is this... "Mum is no longer the word" on September 18th?

Is this for Mac only?

Now the recently announced 2.6ghz Core 2 Duo can replace the more expensive 2.6ghz Core 2 Extreme in the MBP-HD.

So this is in addition to the 2.6GHz Extreme... cool. Maybe an update with 10.5 in October. What's the difference between the two then...?
