On the other hand, Apple might be working on an updated version of MacOS for a touch-screen MacBook Pro.

If these renderings are accurate, the "new" iMac is still basically the the same design as the old iMac, but with a bigger screen. The Surface Studio 2 is far more creative in its design, and it has a touch screen. All it needs is an M1 motherboard …

AppleCar's "air freshener" will probably be co-branded with Chanel and cost $9.95 a month to use.

If you only care about roads and highways, Google Maps wins hands down. But if you want to know where trains are, or even something as simple as borders (ANY border), Apple Maps is far superior. I liken it to an engineer (Google) vs designer (Apple)…

I love the promotional photo of the packed Microsoft Store used to illustrate this article. Are those actual customers, or Microsoft employees on their lunch break?

Nowhere does it imply that the iPhone 7 and 8 screen is the same size as the SE. There is a drop down menu, and you can select a screen protector for the SE, or one that fits the 7 and 8. It doesn’t even imply that SE is the official name of a new m…

Not one mention of TikToc. Not one. There was a hole, TikToc filled it, and there is no going back. Good luck, Byte.

Perhaps delayed messages could be distinguished by having their own color, like pink, or a tint of the current blue. Anything but green!

Very nice, but it is $50; the one that comes with the watch is essentially free. And if it doesn't charge the phone any faster than the OEM charger — which is quite pokey — then it's not worth it to me.

I wonder if Apple Card will be used for financing new iPhone purchases instead of Citizens One.

Got excited for a second, then realized I have a 2nd generation Apple TV, not 3rd generation. I hardly every use it anymore (or my Amazon FireStick) because my TCL Roku smart TV does almost everything I need.

Maybe QuarkXPress isn't mentioned here because it is hardly a cheaper alternative to Indesign. Quark is $400 on the App Store; the QuarkXPress Store lists it as $250/year ($750 total) for Indesign switchers. Quark was always full of itself and used …

After updating to 10.14.5, I still had to re-authorize my five normal (non-G-Suite) Gmail accounts in Safari, but unlike with 10.14.4 this seemingly unnecessary step now works.

Does this fix the gmail bug?

Same exact problem here after updating to 10.14.4 earlier today. Of course, "Open Safari" does nothing, and I have no problem logging in online or with iOS. I'm using plain vanilla G-mail, not G-suite, and I don't have 2-factor authentication turned…

"This app has a streamlined appearance and new features to make it the best destination to watch all of your shows on your iOS or tvOS device." Did you write this, or Apple's PR department?

There's a compelling reason for installing Mojave on my mid-2009 MacBook Pro: Adobe Creative Cloud 2019 will not install on any older versions of MacOS. DosDude's patcher worked flawlessly, and the only problem with the update is cosmetic; the menu …

This is a cool option. It's odd, though, that Apple is adding more and more 3D Touch features with one hand, and claims to be phasing it out with the other.

I wouldn't trust Apple Maps for driving directions, but for anything requiring good design and readability, it is miles ahead of Google Maps. Anything transit-related is useless on Google. The NYC Subway lines are quite nice on Apple Maps. State and…

Join the rest of the hardware world - one you actually helped pioneer - and add a touchscreen display. All of the supposed negatives, like gorilla arm and macOS not optimized for touch, will be resolved sooner once a touch display is added to the Ma…
