Apple Maps trials updated maps for UK and Ireland
If you only care about roads and highways, Google Maps wins hands down. But if you want to know where trains are, or even something as simple as borders (ANY border), Apple Maps is far superior. I liken it to an engineer (Google) vs designer (Apple) approach to cartography. The failure of Apple is its insistence on using Apple-only apps for its maps, and worse, a proprietary and confusing language of navigation controls. In order to gain any traction, Apple Maps needs to be browser-based like Google Maps. DuckDuckGo uses Apple Maps, but without the 3D feature. The Apple Maps app for iOS offers a 3D view, but the Google Maps app does not; you have to use the separate Google Earth app for that feature.

Apple leaks new "iPhone SE" coming soon in iPhone 8 form factor [u]
Nowhere does it imply that the iPhone 7 and 8 screen is the same size as the SE. There is a drop down menu, and you can select a screen protector for the SE, or one that fits the 7 and 8. It doesn’t even imply that SE is the official name of a new model, just that they added a screen protector for an existing model.
