Online play on apps is far from where it should be. Years ago Big Bang offered games that you could easily and seamlessly play online that integrated the Apple iChat video and audio - we are talking G3 iMac days up until Big Bang was bought out in …

I am an Apple and a Proton customer. I have the full suite of software and it was paid directly to Proton - not Apple. Have all the iOS and Mac OS apps. Not sure that aspect of the lawsuit will stand up to any level of scrutiny.

Will this be another app that I do not use that cannot be deleted?

You can run it (Mac OS) from an external drive and leave the internal one alone.

Will this capability extend to the iPad?

Hopefully they have fixed MIDI configuration on Mac native apps. For example On iPad OS bluetooth connections are easily seen and set up. On Mac OS not so much, but it works on the iOS/iPadOS apps that run on the Mac.

So they design a more powerful chip and then waste the power with useless UI effects nobody needs and few want.

Not impressed or looking forward to this unless a lot of these “features” can be turned off. Web browser with no bar at the top? Hiding controls? Useless eye candy effects that jumble up the display? Microsoft tried this look a number of years ago

Google Pixels are made in China and Vietnam Samsungs are made in Vietnam When all of this settles out, the relative rates of tariffs will have a big say in all of this.
