  • I like NWE a lot. I think it has the nicest interface of any word processor I have ever used. But since Nightcrawler seems to put a premium on lack of bugs, NWE might not be the best choice. The last couple papers I have written I wrote in NWE and t…

  • I am also not sure what you are doing. You can copy the iPhoto Library anyplace you like. Just move the folder called "iPhoto Library" that is in the Pictures folder in your home folder. Then hold down the option key when you start up iPhoto. iPhoto…
  • Thanks! I'm a little tighter on drive space than I like to be. Looks like Tiger isn't going to force me to get a new drive right away though
  • Care to describe your problems? I have been using iDisk sync for about a year. There was one time when it just quit working. I had to turn off the local disk and then recreate it. A bit of a pain. Other than that it has been a little slow but pretty…

  • I don't know if this counts as a "missing feature" but I am disappointed that portable home directories will only be available in the server version. I would really like this feature, but I don't think I want to spend an extra $400 to get it. I hope…
  • What do you guys think about this mouse? I haven't used it but looks interesting. It should be Bluetooth, and the reviews suggest it could be more comfortable to hold, but those are issues Apple could easily fix.
  • Quote: Originally posted by vocaro I figured out what the problem was. I had moved Pages and Keynote out of the original iWork folder. Creating a new iWork folder and moving the apps there allowed Software Update to see them. When is Apple go…

  • What is Cartoon Animator?
  • One thing I would really like to see in iPhoto is some sort of versioning feature for pictures. For example, I sometimes have both a black and white and a color version of a picture. It is pretty wasteful to have two copies (e.g., iPhoto then stores…

  • Sounds like you want VNC although I don't know the security implications of using it. I have thought about using iChat AV and turning the video camera so it captures the screen for use with people who don't have VNC installed.

  • Thanks for all your suggestions. Instead of archiving them to a CD, would it be possible to archive them on a disk image. I have never actually used this feature in iPhoto. The help file only mentions archiving to CD or DVD, but that seems like an a…
