Pretty simple. Hire the most qualified candidates for the roles. In technical roles, most qualified = most able and willing to do the job most effectively. Race/gender/sexual preference have nothing to do with being able to do the job effectively.

I use my Airpods Pro way more than I expected to. At least a couple of times a day, primarily for phone calls and for watching youtube on my desktop and my iPad. Plus listening to music. They don't hold a charge quite as well as they used to, but co…

Thanks for the article; I found it helpful. I particularly liked being introduced to the concept of the naked robotic core, which I'd never heard of. It's a different way of looking at the iPad, which makes sense to me. And I'm looking forward to …

Having worked in site acquisition for this company, among others, I am skeptical. More than once I’ve heard big plans, where we’d go out and tie up tower sites, then nothing would happen. AT&T appears to have the resources to up their infrastr…

I picked up a few more AAPL shares before the quarterly announcement, when the share price was dropping on stories of the X not selling well. Sure, I wish I’d waited another week, but still did quite well. No complaints here.

Huh. Well, I’m glad that Samsung has some new offerings. Competition is good, for driving innovation and providing alternatives. Reading this article, and recently talking with a friend of mine who has a Pixel (I know, not a Samsung) and who has de…

I’ve owned a set of Bose wired noise-cancelling headphones for probably 10 years, and like them. I bought them for use while traveling on airlines, a niche they fill pretty well. My first set went bad out of warranty and Bose offered a decent pric…

While many of the comments regarding HomePod are entertaining, it will be interesting to read reviews and comments from actual HomePod users. Looking forward to it.

Haven’t used Slack, so I don’t have a dog in that fight. As for other apps leaving the Watch, it seems like a natural winnowing of the field. For software companies wanting to jump on the Watch bandwagon, it makes sense to try it out, and if it do…

My experience in stores here in rural and semi-urban southern Virginia is 60-40, maybe 70-30 in favor of accepting Apple Pay. As others have pointed out, the absence of an AP sign or logo is not necessarily an indication that the merchant won’t acc…

Well, this whole thing really made me angry. Then the lightbulb came on and I bought some more shares yesterday. In the meantime, I’m really enjoying my new iPhone X.

Folio said: Geez... Not another must own. While I've been buying Apple gear since the 90s, never have I binged like this past year (iMac, iPadPro, iPhoneX, Series 3 Cellular). Lady says I'm responsible for 1 point of Apple stock price. A…

I have the Series 3, non-cellular version. Losing the ability to control my music library from the Watch was the only downside of the new model, but it was a big one. Looking forward to again being able use the Watch to control music in my vehicle…

Having had a Series 0 AW from the start (well, after it finally shipped!), I treated myself to a Series 3 AW, but without LTE. I am quite happy with the improved performance. Maybe at some point in the future I’ll go for LTE, but at present that fe…

Mine is a version 0, which I may replace with the next version. But I'm not pining for a better watch, because this one works really, really well for the most part. I was pleased to discover not long ago that Apple Pay evidently works without havin…

Me: "I'm hoping some form of this shows up in iOS as well." Now that I bothered to check, it does on my iPhone. Shapes can be drawn and sent. Lawdy! Guess there's isn't a need for text recognition when there's a keyboard right there. More coffee...…

I too thought of Graffiti when I saw this. Based on owning a Watch, wearing it daily, and actually using this feature a few times, I find it to be a subtle but significant improvement. It's perfect for those times when taking out the phone is inconv…
