Would have causes significant disruption to both Google and FB. That is what I hate about ad companies, invasion of privacy. No longer content to sending people to the street to collect polls, internet companies mine your data over and over again. H…

Yes, need Walmart and Home Depot and that will change the 65% to something more like 80% of all stores that do accept AP. 8/10 isn't bad, but isn't great either. Still requires to be a guessing game.

It's about time. Hopefully Walmart will jump in the bandwagon also, as I shop there far more often than TGT. Using it at Taco Bell is a minor convenience for me. I always use it at MCD which is one of the reasons why I always go there.

Why in the world is it so expensive? Comparable devices are much, much cheaper, and are very premium as well, as well as including more and better features. Bogles my mind at how expensive some Apple products are. I would never buy such a product ev…

Apple is all about the dollar and is highly reluctant to cut prices even when circumstances change. The Chinese no longer have cheap phones and cheap prices. They have very good phones at cheap prices and consumers love this.

For the above, at least on paper that is true. You must sell the shares to realize the gains whereas using dividends can realize right away if not reinvested

Woz has been irrelevant for many years and all of his involvement into various startups are all meaningless. Once a guy on Shark Tank wanted to impress the Sharks and told them that he knew Woz and perhaps even called Woz on the phone at the time. U…

For the comment above, it is night and day to compare margins on hardware (Apple) vs margins on software (Google/Microsoft). Hardware will almost always have a lower margin as things cannot be printed, whereas once the software is developed, it can …

I remember when Steve Jobs was on stage and he would unveil an updated product and he said "The price is....just $499, the same price as before" but change $499 to another price for a different product. Now, it is xx price before + $200 more usually.

Apple is much too greedy these days. The price for their machines education or otherwise is insane. They also used to have special purpose Macs for education and not just cheaper versions of the same one. Witness the eMac for example. Instead of put…

Love these side by side video shots. It makes for such an easy comparison. Nice job. Happy owner of XS.

Huge news. Only need Walmart to join and my life would be complete.

For the user above, mathematically, you are correct, but rarely would a person even come close to using their full iCloud allowance. I'm on the free tier plan and only use 3GB. And other places are offering much more generous free and cheaper paid o…

This is huge. Does it work for all Visa branded credit cards, regardless of Costco issued or not?

I wish more real-world tests were used instead of this fake synthetic tests. How about copying a 4 GB file from A to B or copying 5,000 little files from A to B, or time to compile a 200 MB iOS application using Project Builder. I understand that Ma…

I hate synthetic benchmarks. What happened to Macworld events where "actual" performance numbers were given using real world applications like PS, Quake, etc? (not to say that Appleinsider and that Youtube guy didn't have real benchmarks)

I always thought that Apple intentionally puts in a smaller battery in its laptops than what the chassis can actually fit. This 18% increase in size of the battery (at least in terms of watt-hours) proves my point. Sure some components could have be…

The sad part is other vendors have discovered a way to include a usb-A port on very slim machines, some even slimmer than the MacBook Pro and even to rave reviews. Witness the Huawei Matebook Pro x as an example. Sure it is a MBP ripoff even the nam…

Also, the touchbar serves no purpose for me. One main reason why I bought the 13 inch non-touchbar model over the 15 inch or equivalent 13” with tb is because I don’t want a touchbar. Also, the touchbar model has shown to have less battery life also…
