Lol, internet radio stations are free! Congratulations to Sonos for adding shortcut to radio station webpage.

Isn't that a simple passive cable that uses an alternative DP-mode of a USB-C port? Got a similar one for $10 (but much uglier though) to connect external display to macbook pro. Worked fine with 1440p@144Hz.

Bought the Pros, and they worth every euro! Absolutely godsent to all the cyclists, now we can enjoy music riding along the highway or downtown.

No competition from old chips is a big advantage of Apple - and I never thought of it before! Say A13 is 20% faster but A12 got 30% cheaper to produce over a year. A general phone maker will choose A12 as we can see from Google Pixel and other flag…

“How to keep your home’s air clean and odour-free” - Did you try to open a window and close it again in half an hour?

Well if Apple did not design iPhones to work with other charging standards, better wait a bit longer than burn your house. Besides it makes no difference for overnight charging, and fast charging is faster with a cable...

Because "Apple recycle magnets" sounds less cool...

This --> "Keep it simple and just buy what you want when you want."

"Apple had to do something to get more people to upgrade rather than hold on to their devices even longer." Would you rather have one ultra-high-end smartphone for 3 years, or two mediocre ones? CPU and memory get cheaper - but screen, case, soft…

nottellinyou said: It’s very simple! Retailers do not like it or want it because they can’t trace the sale! Retailers use your credit card number to identify you. They use a hashed version of that, and other cards you use, to create a unique …

US is shooting itself in a foot by not having a universal contactless payment system. Lock in to "Walmart pay" or other single-vendor stuff is ridiculous. Here in Finland you can use either Apple Pay or contactless physical cards literally everyw…

Eric_WVGG said: This is utterly brilliant. All that talk about the 16" MBP going back to scissor keys… since when has Apple ever gone backward on anything? Maybe they'll re-introduce SCSI ports on the new Mac Pro while they're at it. No, wha…

I took photos with iPhone XS at night (with some street lamps around), and they looked very realistic - things you see in real life are visible on photos, things you don't see in real life are pitch black on photos. Why put a low-resolution night …

I don't understand everyone's excitement for this ancient technology. Could not be happier after adding all my cards to Apple Pay. Now I cannot forget wallet at home, and literally every single business accepts Apple Pay here in Finland - Ikea ca…

Looks like Corephotonics pimped itself to Apple for free, and now complains about not being payed. How about sub-contracting the camera development work before showing your tech in details to another company?

How can it be ”HDR” with 325nits when the lowest HDR spec demands brightness of at least 400 nits? Also paying $300 for a TN panel? Looks like Benq tried to get all the fancy ”4K HDR” labels on the box without delivering any of the quality to ba…

Russians should punish Apple just like they punished Google for disrespecting Russian laws about personal information! Fine them for $10,000! (700,000 RUR)

Another masterpiece to read and enjoy! Thanks DED.

I thought this was a solved case - any encryption with limited-length key (256 bit) can be brute-force hacked if really needed as in tracing actual terrorists, while the very high cost makes this method useless to criminals. And I heard that’s the r…

How come monitor manufacturers think it’s OK to have I/O that is literally a hole in the plastic case through which you can see ports deep inside in a super uncomfortable position, on a device that costs $1500? Could they not find a better place, or…
