I need to make comments here because some are not quite correct and makes it hard to restore 1. Which port to use to restore? Middle port on silicon Mac mini (2024+) : https://support.apple.com/en-us/1206942. What cable to use? USB C cables ha…

First, the reason why for M4 mac mini, 2TB is the max is because apple doesnt support more than 2TB on the base config. I also upgraded my M1 Studio Max to 2TB. COuld have chosen 4TB or 8TB, but didnt want to risk the $, In retrospect. I would have…

I did this and discovered in the apple support document that you cannot use TB3 cables to do the DFU restore. I can guarantee this is correct and the DFU restore will fail with a cryptic error message. I used a 10Gbps USB 3.1G2 cable and it worked …

Hard to believe a review of an audio product has zero mention about the sound! Like reviewing a car without mentioning how the car drives, or .... You get the idea. People spending $249 dont care how it sounds???? Personally I gave up using in…

The catch which is not mentioned in this article is that the Applecare+ warranty cannot be transferred to another owner/account, whereas the prepaid version can be. So if you have a subscription Applecare+, it is only good for the original subscrib…

Well known (on internet) that Apple wired USB keyboards dont work on the M4 mac mini whereas 3rd party keyboards work. Easily reproducible.

The offensive part is that this is not a good deal. A M4 mac mini has the same 16Gb and 256GB SSD, is faster and has been on sale for the exact $499 price. Much faster, years more support for the same price.

Just an FYI about the front USB ports. If they follow the design front USB ports on the M1 and M2 Max, they are only one channel of the PCIe 3 bus. So for the M1 and M2, they go up to 8Gbps, not 10 as apple advertises. I hope that Apple has changed…

I just hope the front USB ports arent gimped like the Studios. Those USB ports are limited to up to 8Gbps, despite Apple's description of "up to 10Gbps" because they use only 1 PCie lane instead of the usual 2.

I just updated my ipad 11 pro to ios 17.3. Went to face ID and passcode, and there was not any Stolen Device Protection setting anywhere. Must be just for iphones, so I updated my iphone 13 pro to ios 17.3. Went to settings and there is no face I…

Where the boox OS fails is the lack of support and lack of instructions/info on how to use it. You simply cannot find basic info on the web. i have a boox note, accidentally removed an on screen widget neccessary for use. Could not find ANY info …

This article has a factually incorrect spec. The M1 Max has 2 front USB C ports, but they are limited to about 8Gbps, not 10Gbps per USB 3.1G2 spec. Apple uses only 1 PCie lane, not 2 so that sets the limit. I wonder if the M2 Max also has the sa…

What is needed in a port expander like this that sits below or on top of a mac mini are 1) NVMe slot that can run 4 PCie lanes so max is about 3 Gbps, 2) passthru TB3 port 3) 2.5Gb ethernet 4)10Gbps ports that are controlled by the hub, not by the …
