They only need to slap the Matter version number under the Matter logo. Basically every other spec has multiple versions, like Thunderbolt. USB, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, etc.

Apple will obviously retain a visual distinction between iMessage & other protocols. The green bubble stigma is one of the greatest marketing tools ever, and it’s free.

Are any of the acquired Intel patents, or is any of the technology being developed for a 5G modem, useful for other chips, like the UWB U2 chip or its successors? Could Apple use expertise gained from 5G modem to create faster, more reliable connect…

This was a terrible article. You didn’t refute anything that the WSJ article said, though you implied you would. What useful information did you provide beyond what was already in the WSJ article? You just put a fanboi spin on the situation.

The Fanbois are out in force for this one. It people want to install other app stores, browser engines, wallets, etc., show them a security warning, and they can be treated like adults who can make their own decisions. Macs allow these things but yo…

Apple cares more about adding moronic effects to Messages for children & older people who still behave like children than they do about providing a secure platform. They also care more about self-righteous posturing & fleecing third-party de…

If Apple is making a push into higher-end gaming, you can be sure that they’ve been working with high-end game companies to port their games over to the Apple ecosystem. Given that Big Sur will run iOS & iPadOS apps natively on Apple Silicon, y…

It seems quite obvious that iOS 14.1 is planned to ship on the iPhone 12 models. Apple needs to finish work on code for that hardware, and they cannot tie the software that supports their new models to new features that might not be ready in time fo…

How can you expect anyone to take you seriously when you don’t have the slightest clue what you’re talking about? Apple designs their own cores. All they license from ARM is the instruction set. You know nothing, Apple Insider!
