  • Just got my 17" last night. It is such an amazing computer. I had a 17" 2.4Ghz core 2 duo Macbook Pro that I traded in for this model. It was the best decision ever. This model is lighter, thinner, and the hinge is not so loose like the previous 17"…
  • mine ships Feb 5., Arrives Feb. 10. Can't Wait.
  • Keep what you have. The only upgrade there is going to be is a new track pad ala Macbook Air. And maybe faster speeds up to 2.8 Ghz or so. Unless your brain has an atomic clock in it, you will never notice the difference between 2.4 and 2.8. Don't …

  • What is this supposed to mean as far as the Macbook Pro goes? "we expect a newly redesigned MacBook Pro in the Fall, new iterations of all Apple laptops featuring Intel’s new Santa Rosa platform in the Summer or early Fall, and perhaps an ultra-…
  • Realistically, I think the only options for a case redesign on the upcoming Macbook Pro are a new keyboard (ala Macbook, still backlit), a magnetic latch, and maybe a new material or color, not much else is going to change.
  • Although it would be AWESOME to have a titanium Macbook Pro, I highly doubt that Apple will produce one. Mainly just to keep the cost down. Maybe they should have a Titanium case as an upgrade. I think that would be a wise decision and would make ma…
  • Minor Change, what more could they do to the design? It is about as simple as possible.

  • Brian Green and hobart.george excellent posts my friends. Way to stick to the topic. Brian, you are absolutely correct, Apple is going to have to address the time machine issue one way or another. This could possibly lead to dual hard drives. Ple…
