Back from 10.5.1 update and so far so good. Although I thought the same thing on my Mac Pro with the 10.4.11 update which hosed my Weather and Stocks widgets. More on that drama in another thread but one more reason to upgrade it to Leop! (Damn…

Gonna take my chances with the update. Holding breath...

After upgrading to 10.4.11 my Weather and Stock widgets have also bailed. I had the Safari 3 beta installed prior to the update but I doubt that's the cause. I can click the city name in the widget and open the weather page in Safari. Other widge…

I had to reinstall Parallels. Got a kernel panic beforehand. Also my Sites directory has some permissions issue and is no longer web accessible. Only issues so far.

I def. think the final is better than the beta, then again now its running on Leopard instead of Tiger. I'd expect the final version 3 for Tiger and Windows should be out soon.

Did a standard upgrade and so far so good. Will repot in in the AM.

Still waiting on my HD backup -- damn laptop drives are slow. Going to try basic upgrade install as I am lazy. Can always do an Archive & Install if I run in to issues.

I would expect Apple will need to revamp the hardware lineup to include security/DRM hardware for the CPUs and displays. At that point they can add HD-DVD/Blu-Ray playback and add the drives.

Alright, still hoping for non-aqua scrollbars!!

I had a completely stock phone aside from a few custom ringtones installed via iTunes 7.4.1.x. I had to do a full restore, update, restore, and sync. I didn't lose any of my data but I did lose about 30 minutes of my time. Also, my custom AAC rin…

Any word if previously installed ringtones are preserved? Like if installed a custom GarageBand ringtone under 7.4.1.x...

I like the new Playlist syncing features for iTunes 7.4. I didn't know about it until my girlfriend noticed it and was like, awesome, now the playlist sync selector isn't one large clusterf**k! On the ringtone tip, I used to make ringtones for m…

I too was in the early-adopter-but-not-whiner comp. I didnt' expect to get anything back and now I'll get a $100 credit. All smiles here now.

Interesting that the product selector at the top of the iPod + iTunes page shows a new iPod in the iPod Hi-Fi.

Sure, I'd like the extra $200 back as much as the next guy, but having had the phone since launch day I don't think I'm entitled to it. I knew the price and featureset when I purchased it and have enjoyed my iPhone tremendously, so no regrets.

I think small, inexpensive add-ons would be a great feature for the Apple TV. Cheap HD-DVD or Blu-Ray players ala XBOX 360's add-on drive. Perhaps a DVR unit capture from your cable feed and reverse sync to iTunes. Leave the heavy lifting to the …

When was the last time you cleaned your Mac Pro? I recently opened mine up and went crazy with a can compressed air and got a good amount of dust out. I even found a layer of dust built up on the x1900 air intake area, severely limiting its abilit…
