Moral of the story: SuperDuper! Everyone should use a multi-tiered backup strategy. Time Machine is great for historical backup but a system clone is good for emergencies and as a system snapshot.

The biggest unknown IMO is QuickTime, specifically QuickTime X. Apps are very dependent on QuickTime and I'd expect some issues to arise due to the major revision. TBD I suppose.

Activation just kicked in. I've been CRAZY persistent with it for the past 3 hours or so. Finally activated at 11:02 AM PST.

I was reading the interwebs before applying the update to my Edge-equipped iPhone but the news of the activation issues hadn't spread yet. Now I'm kicking myself for not installing the unofficial firmware late last night. Need my phone working t…

Oh man... and I wanted a magic firmware update!

OMG!! I've been using the current Nike+ system while on the elliptical machine to track my workouts and am glad we'll be getting an official solution. Crazy excited.

The link to the ADC Hardware Purchase Program Online Store is on Apple's developer website. http://developer.apple.com/membership/hardware.html Select your country, click through the details and then you're shopping with ADC prices.

I was content with previous menu transparency and stack grid background, but will tolerate both. I just wish I could right click for dock folder contents menus and still single click for new Stack behaviors. Right now I have to pick one and I pers…

Nice, but I've already watched and while I'm hardcore I don't think I need a second viewing. HD looks pretty fab though.

I was able to use the Time Capsule storage as a NAS volume while at Macworld. Copied some PNGs from a MacBook Air to the Time Capsule's root volume, alongside all the Time Machine backup sparse images. So, with the NAS option, I'm more inclined …

An announcement of this type is certainly keynote material and I'd expect Blu-Ray is the way Apple would go. Adopting Blu-Ray (or any other HD format) will require significant Hardware and Software changes, so pairing it with bumped Macs and Di…

20" displays are passé and I'm ready to upgrade my Mac Pro to a 23"/24" display. Would love an Apple IR receiver and iSight bundled in too as well as the sexy glass and LED backlighting. Will buy one at the standard exaggerated Apple price just ha…

SuperDuper! 3 with Leopard support is way overdue. Since they've been sitting on it this long I'd assume they'll release it for MacWorld. This is the one piece of software that is preventing me from upgrading my Mac Pro: my "production machine".

Came home tonight and woke my Mac Pro and now its weather and stock widgets are acting normally. Not sure what happened but I'm glad things are back to normal. Woot.
