Uhhhh... no. That's not at all what I meant. I meant it exactly as I said it. The MacBook has you take a user pic with the camera when you first boot up. I want to use that picture, but I can't find it on the hard drive.

I'm really dissapointed with this update. I was expecting the option to switch the translucency on and off like I saw in the 10.5.2 beta screenshots. But, what do you know? It isn't there. I was also really let down by the Leopard driver update.…

Mac elitists piss me off. You give every mac user a bad name. Ugh.

If you DO decide to get a new Alu iMac, make sure it's the 24 inch version. 90% of the 20" versions have a messed up screen with a gradient on it. Me, personally... I went ahead and bought the previous intel iMac model, refurbished. It was practi…

I tried everything suggested. But I'm not sacrificing my resolution for translucencty. Will you just leave the damn thread already?
-
This is a completely different question from that thread. I'm not going to lower the resolution on my screen. If you're not going to link me to an app, why would you bother posting in this thread? You're not only wasting my time, but yo…

That app won't work either.

I'm hoping it wouldn't have to come to that, and it would be a gigantic waste of time if it doesn't work, wouldn't it? Anywho, are there any 3rd party apps that allow you to edit the menu bar? (Maybe I could make it translucent via one of thes…

I'm not sure what the video card is. I have a 2006 Intel Core Duo iMac, though. Isn't the GeForce FX 5200 only on the G5? I know other people with the same computer as me that don't have this problem. Bonsai, it didn't work, either.

It doesn't change anything. I've already tried using that app. It can't change it back to translucent if it wasn't translucent to begin with. Here's a screenshot of my desktop so you guys can see the problem/what it looks like/etc http://i5.…

I did what you told me to do exactly, and my bar is STILL gray. It was never white to begin with, it's been solid gray since I got it.

It's common sense. You weren't "voicing your opinion" - you were basically asking me if I was a complete moron or not. Now, back to the crux of the matter: This seems to be the main problem. How does one go about fixing this? Quote: Ori…

Terminal says "There is no (EnvironmentVariables) default for the (/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.WindowServer) domain. Defaults have not been changed. "
-
Uhh... no. I'm not an idiot, my friend.
-
Let's just say it was a safe estimate, considering I've only read one positive thing about the new iMac ever, and that happens to be in this thread.

Congrats, you're the FIRST person I've heard of not having issues with the new iMac.
-
I honestly wouldn't reccomend it. If I were you, I'd buy an older white iMac. That's what I did. Now I don't have to worry about any of the stupid problems with the newer model.

It's pretty much the hugest problem with the new iMac. How could you not know of it? I have yet to hear a report of a 20" alu iMac that doesn't have this problem. http://discussions.apple.com/thread....73705&tstart=0
