It might be worth looking at Maestral (https://www.maestral.app/) as an alternative to the official Dropbox client. The File Provider APIs are required if you want to have content that is partially online and partially offline, as it allows files to…

The web interface for the Arlo line of security cameras as of now still requires Flash in order to function. This is the very last place I have any use for it.

This is bad advice. You shouldn't ask for IMEIs/serials, and you definitely shouldn't give them out if someone is asking you for one. If I'm a bad guy with a stolen phone and I want to trick people into buying it, what do I do? I go and find someon…

I believe the Bluetooth issue is a misreading of the release notes. The 32-bit issue seems to relate only to apps being compiled using iOS SDK 7.1 beta 3. It should not affect existing apps.

I'll second Airmail. Definitely should have been on the list. Supports IMAP, POP, and Exchange, has a ton of features and an amazing UI, and top-notch Gmail support (labels, archiving, Gmail's single-key shortcuts.) it's also constantly being update…

Well, Facebook isn't affected because it doesn't use background refresh (even the new, iOS7-ified version). What will happen is randomly when you switch to an affected app, it will be like you're using it for the first time. You'll have to re-ente…

I'm definitely apprehensive on this point. A lot of the bigger cities have quality third-party apps that may provide equivalent or enhanced functionality over Google Maps, but a lot of smaller locations have no real options outside of Google. Goog…

OK, it is indeed an unfixed bug in FileVault with Leopard. Fortunately, there is a workaround. The following shell script needs to be run at every login: Code: /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchService…
