With the sensors available, it should be easy enough for Apple to update the OS where if a steering wheel/dashboard/odometer, etc. is detected the device will not work.

Even if Apple didn’t set a default and made users pick one at setup there would be people upset over whichever choice was listed at the top. You just can’t win and whiners gonna whine.

I know that there is a whole new regime and the Microsoft of today is not the Microsoft of the 90s, but I can’t help getting tickled at reading Microsoft complaining about the unfair advantage created from the power of defaults.

Feels like this is more just a PR response to all the recent grumbling over their Feedback process. Sure, they’ll take a week to address a limited number of “high priority” bugs. Yawn. I’d much rather see the next OSes brag about zero new features …
