I fell for all the positive paid reviews of the Samsung M8 on YouTube. After using it for a week, we ended up returning it as it was very disappointing. While the Samsung M8 is chock full of interesting and potentially useful features, its display …

One additional plus of the MacBook Air 2020 is that it now comes with Bluetooth 5.0.

Five and a half years after HomeKit was announced and still there’s no HomeKit compatible lock for mortise-style locks. I don’t need any more HomeKit compatible plug adapters. What a slow slow rollout and adoption by third-parties.

I remember when Apple actually used Cellebrite devices in their retail stores to transfer data from customer’s old phones to new iPhones.

These are two interesting clips about Apple’s manufacturing process in Fremont and also Next’s process: https://youtu.be/sT6aphdX0rI https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Dk306ZkNOuc

Hopefully Apple hasn’t forgotten iMessage in the Cloud. That was supposed to ship with iOS 11.

I thought this issue is just that people are sending newer emoji from iOS 11.1 to users of older versions of iOS 11 that don’t have those emoji images on their phones. They too need to upgrade to iOS 11.1, No?

I’ve seen some reviews where this can be beat with twins. Requiring both Touch ID and Face ID (if technical hurdles could ever be overcome for Touch ID in glass) would likely make the iPhone even more secure than requiring just one biometric.

I believe a visitors center is planned along the eastern side of the campus on Tantau Ave.

Here's a recent comparison of Siri and Google Assistant.

I realize that it's the ‘in thing’ to jab at Apple’s “courage” comment these days but there is truth to it too. When a manufacturer is too scared at potentially alienating customers in the short term, you end up mired in legacy—parallel ports, PS/2 …

To me, this comes back to Apple’s ethos of saying no to a thousand things and saying yes to a few. While many of us on here love Apple products like this for their simplicity, it's also not the stuff that will continue to make Apple culturally sign…

Glad to see Jony expressing himself more publicly in other spaces outside of Apple. Without his creative partner in tech, Steve—it's clear that Apple is not enough to fulfill his discipline anymore.

Looks very similar to Apple’s patent: http://www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2010/08/the-mother-lode-welcome-to-the-imac-touch.html

jason98 said: 4k finally? Had to skip the 4th generation because it was missing. It is kind of absurd situation, you can record 4k on iPhone, but can't watch it in full resolution. Absurd? If you've been following Apple for any length of t…

These concerns are baseless or nothing new. With Lift-to-Wake and “Hey Siri” you can do all the same things that previous gen phones did when you had gloves on.

These retailers and banks should build their own phone. Why should Apple be forced to open its technology just because others failed to make a compelling platform/device of their own that people want to use? No one forces the software powering a mi…

Also beat Apple to the fugly segment of watches.

It's disabled because with iOS 9 you get slimmed versions of apps, so reverse syncing to your Mac or PC wouldn't be ideal because it'd only be the version of the apps for that specific device. Your backup would not work when restoring to a different…
