Where I work we use 2 distinct Java apps...one for Internet authentication and another that is vital for day to day operations. Seeing these disabled by Apple periodically has created a ton of extra work for our tech support staff.

Skeuomorphic design can sometimes go a bit too far, a perfect example being the stitching and torn pages on iCal. It's excessive and unnecessary. I don't mind the notebook feel however on Notes. Either way, the user should have some degree of custom…

I'm not convinced that boat is sturdy enough to repel a zombie invasion.

It's clear Apple needs an entry-level tower. People shouldn't have to build Hackintoshes just to fill that need, or to be able to switch to a more powerful graphics card a couple of years down the road.

That iPad screen really looks like it was Photoshopped. I see JPEG artifacting well beyond the borders of the text, and the JPEG compression degradation in that area does not match the rest of the photo.

The business model is rock solid, but I can't help but think that this is truly monopolistic behavior.

They are treading in really dangerous territory here to disable software for people automatically. Let's hope there aren't any hitches that prevent a user from getting Flash installed and back running.

The worst part of this app by far is how it uses IP addresses to store information about computers on your network. In a DHCP environment, this is obviously terrible. As a result, you regularly need to delete data otherwise it auto fails to …

I remember when an "artist" used to be someone who painted stuff. I don't think we've seen a clearer case of libel in a long, long time. Purposefully misrepresented information and presented it as fact that has hurt Apple financially. No wonder …

What's going to be fun to watch is when one of these huge technology investments fails due to some other product coming out, and billions of dollars will be lost. Apple could probably eat an iPhone launch failure but it will definitely hurt them.…

It looks like this new bundle part number is BH306LL/A with AppleCare, BH302LL/A without. No ethernet port on this device is going to make imaging interesting. Wireless just doesn't have the bandwidth that ethernet does. Do we buy USB ethernet ad…

I've purchased hundreds of these things for places I've worked despite the fact that I despise the white plastic. Something about how light reflects off it disrupts my concentration. On the original models the dirt burn-in is disgusting. Imagine …

Hmm...thought this thing was gimped but it appears it may in fact support live updating on a hosted db. There is no sync and copying a massive db back and forth like they allude to in their documentation would be ludicrous.
