I’m running the same new versions of MacOS and iPadOS mentioned, but contrary to this video, I DID need to do setup before it worked. Specifically, I had to go into System Preferences->Displays->Universal Control button. Then check the box ”…

A real-world example of 45 minutes waiting for builds cut in half, translated to a 3 month payback on buying a new M1 laptop. That’s powerful validation of the SoC and system engineering that went into this machine.

After years of using PowerPoint, I now use and greatly prefer Keynote. The problems you are having sound like learning curve. Most of the things you mention are easier in Keynote, in my experience.

Correct vintage. But, a standard bench oscilloscope, not “computer processing”. See radiomuseum: https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/kikusui_oscilloscope_cos5020.html a cool walkthrough, nevertheless. And we really liked first season of For All Manki…

The other important advantage of induction motor: no need for rare earth materials. I bet Apple can handle the more complex motor drive (power electronics).

Rama serial would also be great. You know there was a multi-CD game for Rama (1st book) that I thought quite good. Asimov actively advised on it. I played it with my kids (ages 8-12). It ran on power-pc as I recall.

A great convenience feature, not mentioned in review, is that both the SSD and hard disk versions are apparently powered from the USB cable. No separate power supply and associated cables.

Blockhead looks great, but the linked web site, and all others I checked, show either "discontinued" or "out of stock", with no orders allowed.

Great improvement. I long wanted full width screen for articles and for comment. Also previously, there was a frequent bug where strings of comments appear a second time, weird. I have not seen that recur in new version yet. I logged in and go…
