  • Meta & Microsoft are lobbying the EU to reject Apple's new App Store plans [u]

It's amazing that Apple is the only company being forced to open up its system. Meta, Microsoft, Spotify and Epic Games don't make any hardware, they only make software. Without Apple's hardware, or in the case of Microsoft any PC hardware, there wouldn't be any third-party software being developed. Apple makes hardware and software and does a great job of integrating the two. The others are simply leaches, forcing Apple to allow them to use Apple hardware for free. Of course the EU doesn't want to admit they're complicit in forcing a company to allow other companies to use Apple hardware just because they say so. Maybe I should go to an EU country, walk into a store and simply take something without paying for it. That's what the EU is doing--get something for free. As for the hypocritical CEOs of worthless companies like Meta and Microsoft, we all remember that neither company is capable of producing any hardware people actually want to buy.

  • Apple faces 500M euro fine following EU music probe

As an Apple shareholder I hope Apple has factored this cost of doing business in Europe into their pricing in Europe.  Seems to me Europe looks at large U.S. tech companies like Apple to pay for their bloated national budgets.
The US already supports a lot of the EU making these stupid lawsuits revolting. The EU doesn’t make many products used worldwide, especially compared to the USA. I hope Apple starts charging a high tax on everything going to the EU. The USA will continue to support a dying continent and the EU needs to remember that.

  • Sketchy rumor claims Apple has given up on folding iPhone

I don’t want a folding phone. How would a folding phone work for people using it for productive tasks, like videography or even photography other than selfies? My iPhone is thick enough, I wouldn’t want something thicker. It’s a gimmick to satisfy kids.  I want a good screen, not a flexible screen that will end up breaking in half.

  • Microsoft's gaming CEO doesn't think iOS is open enough for Xbox gaming

“Microsoft has its own walled garden.” Interesting comment. Is anyone looking into this? Probably not. All Microsoft wants is money, they haven’t come up with anything new in years, actually ever.

  • Apple continues to brace for big EU App Store changes in third developer betas

I'd rather see Apple shut down the EU App Store instead of giving into these corrupt politicians who haven't the faintest idea what's going on. Sorry EU Apple (and non-Apple users). Apple is an American company. If you don't like the way Apple product's work, go ahead and try to make something yourself. Oh, wait. You tried and Apple blew you apart with much better products and you simply can't compete with anything so the only thing you can do is complain.
