DOJ antitrust lawyers question Beeper over Apple's iMessage hack
The FTC and DOJ need to open their eyes and understand that Beeper is trying to hack Apple software. This has nothing to do with competition and anyone at the DOJ or FTC with any brain should see it for what it is and understand what it isn't. Messages is Apple's product and just like Microsoft and Google software, along with the million other apps, there's no justifiable requirement that they have to work with each other. -
Masimo open to an Apple Watch settlement, if Apple would only call
“ He added that Masimo would certainly "work with them to improve their product" as well.” makes me wonder whether Apple actually used Masimo’s IP. Sounds like Masimo is trying to get code from Apple to see if they can fix their own code. Otherwise, Masimo is being rude telling Apple they are better than Apple. -
The slow death of Beeper continues, and more senators want to get involved
Anti-competitive? I simply see Beeper as being malware. It’s software that disguises itself as real Messages, something that it isn’t. It’s time for members of Congress to go back to school and take some computer classes. It’s also time these self-proclaimed champions for people (actually anti-Apple people) take some computer security classes to understand what Beeper is doing. I see it as a Trojan horse, faking what they really are. -
GM ditching Apple CarPlay is about money, not safety
mikethemartian said:It is no different than Apple constantly claiming “privacy and security” to lock down their platforms so that they can maximize profit. -
Senator Warren wades into Apple's Beeper fight with irrelevant antitrust rhetoric
Every politician has an agenda. I just wish they would spend more time supporting the middle class and people without much money at all instead of sucking up to corporations. Warren can say she's against multinational corporations but she also is funded by them. Check out https://www.opensecrets.org/2020-presidential-race/elizabeth-warren/contributors?id=N00033492
