Be careful with emoji, because they are legally binding in Canada
This judge needs to have his head examined. Unless the document or an existing law states a digital signature or any emoji can be used as a replacement for a hand written signature an emoji doesn’t constitute legal signing. Judges can’t make this stuff up. Judges only interpret laws then can’t make them, at least not in the US. -
Apple, Google confirm new EU 'gatekeeper' law applies to them
Why does everything have to interoperate? I buy Apple products. I don’t buy Google things. I made a choice to buy Apple-only products. What business does the EU have telling me I have to use, or allow to use, other products? What product has the EU improved? None that I know of. They’re just doing a huge money grab. -
Why Apple uses integrated memory in Apple Silicon -- and why it's both good and bad
This article was written by Chip Loder. First, I want to ask whether this is a real person's name. Second, how much computer stock does this person own?
Also, when was the last time any of you commenters had an issue with modular RAM or the CPU? I'll only accept issues less than 10-15 years ago. Both of these components perform very well, as long as you get them from reputable manufacturers. I have my daughter' original, white iBook and it still runs. The battery might have been replaced but nothing else.
When you look at the speed and capability of Apple's SoC and their unified memory, it's much faster and more capable than Apple's Intel Macs. People need to be open minded with this new architecture. Also take into account the ridiculously low wattage requirements. Intel and NVIDIA devices can be used to cook steaks on. -
