  • Apple, Alphabet, Meta push back against US spy law

Article talks about national security investigations. It doesn’t mention normal court requests using legal warrants. How many of the aforementioned percentages are for NS investigations? We all know the FBI has spied on US citizens since before it was the FBI. How many NSA and CIA (plus agencies we don’t know of) have contributed to these unconstitutional requests and demands? It would be nice if our government trusted us but trust starts with its citizens and foreign guests. Until people stop lying and act honestly we unfortunately need to investigate the criminals.

Don’t commit a crime if you can’t handle the time (or have enough money to buy your way out of jail).

  • Kremlin says nyet to iPhone ahead of presidential election

I would hope that buying any new smartphone would be impossible in Russia now due to sanctions. But I don’t know if that’s the case.
China will happily supply all the smartphones they need.
With all the spying software Russia demands.

  • YouTube TV will cost a lot more per month in April

I watched a video that said Fox News is one of the highest costing channels no matter where it's viewed. I believe they said HBO was the highest. They're talking about something around $4/viewer so when you start adding up all the channels it gets expensive. I also read people are demanding some of the higher costing "free" channels be removed from the base charge.

  • India thinks it knows more than Apple or Google about smartphone security

You do realize that India is the home to the majority of scammers. The only preinstalled apps Apple installs are Apple apps, not the bloatware and garbage android phones come with. I could easily see India forcing backdoor software onto every phone. Governments are the ones you have to watch out for when talking about apps with weak security, it's not Apple. This is just another power grab by another country who can't design a product anyone actually wants to buy.

  • Apple Music violates EU antitrust laws, $39 billion fine possible

I agree. It’s time Apple tells the EU to take a hike. $39B is a joke.

Who would end up getting this money? Lawyers and EU management? Would any actually go to the "affected" people? Probably not. From what the article appears to say it's all about Apple preventing iOS users from knowing about alternative music subscriptions. That's not worth $39B. The EU needs to be investigated for frivolous lawsuits but of course they won't because they are the government monopoly in Europe. I think Apple, and the US, should challenge the validity of the EU instead dealing directly with the governments of each sovereign country. The EU is simply a cartel.
