Apples own shows are rumoured to be free to anyone with the TV app? Which is everyone who has an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV then? I’d be surprised if that was true
I don’t have the TV app.
I remember Apple pushing the TV app to all iOS devices so you must not have any ....
The trouble is you don’t live in all countries, only the US. Most countries with iOS devices do not currently have the TV app.
I don’t believe this is true. You don’t have to live in the US to have TV app. I have TV app on my iPhone even though I’m not in the US physically (& my region settings is also not the US). I’m using US App Store though.
(On the other hand, there is no News app on my phone)

If you do not live in the US, the only possible way you could be using the US App Store is if you have a US based credit/bank card registered with your iTunes/App Store account.
Or, access to US iTunes cards.😉

  • Apple officially discontinues AirPort router product line, available while supplies last [...

Thing is, the apple of old provided a complete ecosystem that just worked.
now, there are new innovative ideas that are released, then just left to whither with no further development (eg 3D Touch, HomeKit) or half arsed (eg homepod). The airport could have been the classic marriage of hardware and software that is greater than its parts. The AirPods seem to be an exception that reflects the apple of old.

airport could have evolved into an out of the box mesh system that was trademark Apple easy to set up. And a reference hub for HomeKit that also ‘just worked’. Instead it was neglected. Like far too much of The Mac line.

Storing everything online (which it seems like Apple wants) doesn’t work outside of documents & email.
You can store any sort of file on iCloud.
What if, for any reason that may be important to a person, they don’t want to?

  • Wish list: HomePod needs an officially adjustable EQ, and much better Siri at WWDC

If HomePod had come with these requested features right from the start it would be regarded as a classic ‘magical’ Apple device.
Instead its launch is ruined. In fact like Newton, I don’t think it can ever recover. Might as well go back and redesign the hardware too for a relaunched ‘ new’ product, because this botched launch will forever taint HomePod.

After trying to compete hard with iPad and just like Apple Watch, Android tablets dropped out of the race and no Android tablet is even close to iPad at this price/performance anymore. Apple is really a single player in this field, just like Apple Watch.
Hence the proliferation of two in ones and touchscreen laptops. Find the gap in the market. Thing is, the touchscreen on my HP is absolute rubbish. Maybe because it is still win7. That said it isn’t noticeably better on my son’s Spectre running win10.
