  • Weak demand for MacBook, Apple Watch, AirPods may have caused order cuts

It is going to tighten up.  People around the world are seeing increased costs of living.  The last iPhone and Apple Watch were just incremental upgrades, aside from the fancy watch that only a few people would need.  I am holding out for a new M2 MacBook or Mac Mini, and will wait till the next gen. phone.  They are getting too expensive to upgrade every cycle, and even every other cycle is getting challenging.  But, I hope we will see AppleCar based tech. and VR from Apple soon.  These markets will take time to develop.

  • New iMac Pro and M3 iMac coming, but not in 2022

Could we just get a new M based 27" iMac with upgradable RAM?  Come on Apple?!  I'm a stock holder, and love the profits, but forcing customers to buy outdated equipment and to no degree of upgradability is really not cool.

  • Compared: Mac Studio versus Mac Pro

It is too bad they've killed any upgradability and any internal expansion capabilities.

  • Which upgrades are worth it for the Mac Studio

Can't believe Apple made this machine completely closed to upgrades.    Would also liked to have seen the 27" iMac and new Mini by now.

    People STILL use FileMaker?!  :D
Filemaker appears to have stood still since the mid 2000s. I don't bother with it anymore.
Complete nonsense. One of the most innovative products on the market. You obviously didn’t bother to even look at it since the mid 2000s…

I have a licensed copy. I use it for my legacy databases, but not when I want to build a new one. Airtable is far easier to use. FileMaker is essentially unchanged for maybe ten years, with incremental updates only. They are now emphasising the ability to make apps, if only the software was easier to use. Whenever I worked with it I had to re-learn it all from scratch. Even Photoshop is easier to master.
If you think FM hasn't changed in ten years, you haven't been paying attention.  Airtable is not comparable to the Filemaker platform.  For basic stuff it is fine, but not even close overall.
