Some Verizon subscribers may get Apple One at iPhone 14 launch
Not really. They paid me $850 to port back and then a few months later offered me. $25 a month discount on my account for nothing. They gave me $50 off my June bill and $25 a month since. 2 iPhones and an Apple Watch. So now with the discount, free Disney bundle, music etc I pay less than I was for my other carrier.
ATT and T-Mobile are far more expensive unless you have 4 phones which I don’t. -

Apple changes App Store rules to allow tips via in-app purchases, block custom review prom...
Once again Apple shows they have NO CLUE when it comes to other countries customs and culture. Tipping in some countries like China as noted is a way of thanking someone, its not a payment for services rendered, etc. Its just a thank you. They want to take 30% for doing 0% of the work, if I were the developers who are losing out I would focus on Android which there are a ton of manufacturers in China offering high end low cost phones with better specs. I get it Apple is hosting the files, puts resources behind hosting the files like Apps, etc, but when it comes to general items that they have nothing to do with other than being accessed on an iOS device they should get $0. -
Apple won't have gigabit downloads on 'iPhone 8' because of Intel modems - report
Ok, so we can't have Gigabit downloads with the upcoming phones because Apple is having a spat with their BFF because they don't want to pay FRAND rates. They say they are being overcharged, well they can develop their own technologies and patents or pay. That aside, who cares if you cannot get theoretical download speeds of 1Gbps in the upcoming phones. First, 5G is not ratified, its not even close to determined what it is, and NO carrier will actually offer you sustained 1Gbps downloads either. So they claim to offer, sure, but you won't ever see it. Plus your download speed is half of the equation, the connection from the source sending the data also has to be able to sustain 1Gbps as well. This is simply tech specs boasting for something that has zero benefit today.
