  • Elizabeth Warren calls for tech giant breakup, with Apple in the cross-hairs

I’m not the least bit worried about Warren’s plan ever becoming law. She’s a radical with radical, untenable ideas, as is AOC.

  • 'Save the Internet' bill seeks to reinstate net neutrality regulations

I don’t support this bill in any way but at least it’s being considered the proper way. Instead of a Presidential directive (Obama) to create it, followed by another Presidential directive (Trump) to remove it, the Congress is considering a bill to reinstate it and make it law. It may very well pass in the liberal Democrat controlled House but it’s doubtful it would make it through the Senate or a Trump veto. So to all you net neutrality supporters, don’t get your hopes up too high right now. This ain't gonna happen any time soon.

  • New 'Spoiler' vulnerability in all Intel Core processors exposed by researchers

Rowhammer is scarier than Spectre. A budget the size of one Space Shuttle might be able to get Rowhammer to work. Maybe someone has had it working for ten years already, and in 50 years we'll get to watch a documentary movie about it just like we now watch about the Engima breakers.
It already works. And this paper makes it a lot easier, in practice.
Nice fear mongering. So when do YOU plan on dumping all your Mac gear and moving to an AMD based PC? And if you're not going to dump your Apple gear please tell us why.

  • Customers' 'Dear Tim' emails have big impact within Apple

I believe the Apple Watch & Apples similar health initiatives will help America & the whole world in general. Thats why I utterly hate that countries like India, Brazil, Pakistan, Bangladesh,Argentina & european countries put up tariffs as high as 50% on Apple products.
I think the time is coming when companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google are going to have to decide whether they are American companies or not. There’s an article out there  now about a bunch of Microsoft employees around the world demanding the company end its contract with the U.S. Department of Defense. They say they don’t want to work on weapons for the U.S. military. It has to do with Microsoft’s HoloLens product being adapted for military use. So is Microsoft an American company or not? And if they don’t see themselves as American companies then why should they be protected by America’s government and laws? What if Microsoft had entered into a similar contract with Russia or China’s military? I despise globalization and the one world government some are clamoring for.

  • Apple crime blotter: Near-daily thefts from an Apple Store, and El Chapo-brand iPhone acce...

Funny how Surfaces, Pixels and Galaxies never seem to be as popular among the criminal class.
Well, that’s the problem with brand based coverage in online journalism. You never get the balanced story. We only read about Apple products being stolen. We only read about Apple dealing with class action lawsuits. We only read about Apple’s executive musical chair games. I’m absolutely positive that other tech companies get sued on a daily basis for the same nonsensical reasons Apple does. I’m sure that top end Samsung phones get stolen every day. But there are no tech blogs I know of that are dedicated to Samsung alone like the myriad of Apple tech blogs that are totally focused on the brand, bordering on obsessive coverage of every minutia regarding the company. We have Android tech blogs that encompass the dozens of brands that use the platform but none of them zero in on a specific manufacturer like Apple tech blogs. So unless one is careful you start to believe that only iPhones get stolen, only Apple gets sued, only Apple gets requests from the government, and so on.
