Live listening seems to be a replacement of the FM device which streams the teacher’s voice to the student’s hearing aid. But the Apple EarPods is not meant to replace the hearing aid.

Those people who have hearing loss at severe / moderate levels will be reluctant to use Apple EarPods. A perfect way now available is to use Bluetooth bone conduction earphones (eg AfterShokz) and hearing aids on one/both ears and leave the ear canals open.  I don’t see using any in-ear earphone (s.a. Apple EarPods) works better.

You can use Messages on a Mac already. You don’t need iCloud.

From a user perspective, If I enable Messages on iCloud, I would have to pay monthly fee for iCloud service immediately. Saving the iCloud costs in three years mean I can get a 128GB iPhone instead of a 64GB, or a 256GB iPhone instead of a 128GB.

I am happy to stay with Messages on current “Apple cloud”.  All messages are readily searchable on all of my devices includind iPhone, iPad, multiple Macs even without internet. I don’t have any synchronisation problem among devices. Why do I need to enable Messages on iCloud? It doesn’t make any sense to me.

It will be interesting to see the effect of mutual learning and competing between two Machine Learning kits on the same app. Next iPhone models should have 4GB or 8GB memory. Anything less than 4GB is a planned obsolescence.

DO NOT use NAS to do Time Machine backup. You will regret sooner or later when you see the verification failure message on the Mac. NAS has its own OS(Linus, many of them), not capable of handling complex TM backup structure. Use USB 3 external drives instead.
