  • Just in time for SXSW, Apple Maps transit directions launch in Austin

At this rate my city should get Apple Maps transit within 200 years. Good thing I've got Google.

  • Apple making sparse use of Swift in its own apps, engineer claims

Another example of Tim Cook's Apple.

Too little too late.  Swift is a great idea but again Cook is late in implemented it. How many free passes will this incompetent CEO get? Another example of a half-assed project.
Exactly what's the rush in implementing it? There's certainly nothing half-assed about it. Apple has devoted huge resources to it and promoted it heavily at two WWDCs.

  • Apple requests another $179 million in supplemental damages from Samsung

This is a great way to add some insult to injury. An even greater insult is that Apple destroyed Samsung on the open market- while Sammy's smartphone profits were but a fleeting dream, customers keep going back to Apple again and again, paying $500-$800 each time. Hardly anyone these days will pay even $400 for a Samsung phone.

  • Court dismisses scaled-back lawsuit over texts misdirected by Apple's iMessage

Even if iMessage did have a bug...

All software has bugs. You can't sue the manufacturer for every bug. There has to be some legal limit or definition on what is a "sue-able offense."
Exactly. The appropriate way to deal with products that are flawed or not very good is to take your lumps and buy a better product from somebody else. Leave a nasty review if you must. The last thing society needs is for every single person who isn't happy with their purchase to be dealing with it through expensive litigation that then drives up the cost of everything. Of course in this case the product is fine and the bug, while very frustrating, is the kind of thing that happens from time to time in the current age of computer systems being relatively new.

  • Deep Swift integration coming to iCloud and OS X, says Apple's Craig Federighi

How about fixing El Capitan first before you talk of doing anything else.
I love these types of comments... OS X El Cap has been the best OS X that I believe Apple has ever released, especially with 11.2, and more than 100 users I support whom have upgraded to it agree with me...
Me too. I used to hate these types of douchey, trollish comments, but now I love them. I mean if he truly finds using El Capitan to be torture he is getting his just reward everyday (cause apparently trolls don't know how to rollback OS X updates).

Back in the real world, every release has some bugs and frustrations, but El Capitan is a great update that is certainly as stable as any. It's been good since the beta in fact.
