I tried to use iWork for a while. Ended up forking over the money for MS Office. Mainly used Numbers. Could never get used to it, I'm much more effective in Excel.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm too busy to learn new software that essentially does the same thing as software that I'm already an expert at.
"Essentially the same". LOL! As Darth Vader said, "You have no idea of the power of the dark side". In this case the "Dark side" is Excel because it is infinitely more powerful than Numbers. If you disagree than you simply don't know Excel ...cough...VBA....cough

  • In a roadblock for Apple Pay, only 1 in 5 US retailers are using their chip card readers

Then get the frickin Canadian banks signed up already! American Express support just doesn't cut it up here in bacon and maple syrup land eh. ALL of our retailers up here in The Great White North have EMV chip reading machines so if you want widespread use, you should have started here. Dammit! If I want to use Apple Pay when I go buy my hockeystick, chainsaw, real beer or moose saddle please and thank-you, I should be able to........sigh.......sorry

  • Take a stand against the Obama/FBI anti-encryption charm offensive

Government for Dummies 21st Century Edition (8 steps to full control)

Step 1 - Mess with geo-politics and governments around the world
Step 2 - Piss off said governments and populace to the point that their country's entire population hates you
Step 3 - Try to control that country economically and/or militarily
Step 4 - Kill resistance to your controlling efforts and label them as insurgents. Population declares a holy war against you
Step 5 - Respond to resulting terror at home by controlling your own population through fear created from steps 1 to 4
Step 6 - Twist privacy and free speech to make them appear unconstitutional and unpatriotic. Utilize obscure laws from 1700's if necessary.
Step 7 - Step up fear mongering so laws can be re-written to remove personal privacy
Step 8 - Wipe ass with constitution.

  • Apple lawyer warns government on road to 'limitless' power in iPhone encryption fight

Sign my petition to lock up Tim Cook for obstructing justice and contempt of court. And inform Apples lawyer this isnt about encryption its about bypassing the password safety feature to wipe out your drive if more than ten attempts are made with the wrong password. Get past that any cracking program could defeat apples encryption .I wonder howmany former apple customers had their kids gget a hold of their phones and try the password until the phone automattically wiped out the drive. I know i would be pissed if that happened. There is no information the average consumer stores on their phones that needs that much security that murder investigators cant get at
So in your future, any law enforcement agency can force a company to write code to circumvent the security of their device? Next week will have North Korea demanding Apple do the same for them. This opens up a very large and steep slippery slope. Try not to be a "government has my best interest in mind" robot and think for a change. Maybe read the book 1984 again.
