I've been criticized for about 10 years on these forums for asking Apple to pull out of major markets which harass them, and this is the first step in that direction. I feel vindicated today. My life now has meaning. I'll go out and celebrate with a nice dinner now.

Implementing AI on the HomePod may require less RAM than AI on a laptop, since it's mostly limited to processing audio.

You are being too tough. I didn't mind what he said (today.) I didn't agree with him, but he wasn't particularly rude (today.) Whereas calling him a "shill" was rude. And he didn't even respond to your "shill" jab, which was rather noble of him.

For this, Apple has just crossed the Rubicon and become as evil as FaceBook.

I held off buying a Vision Pro even after doing two demos instead I invested the money into more Apple stock. By the time the second generation model  is available the recently purchased stock should have appreciated enough to cover the cost of the new model.

I agree with your assessment - but only if you bought 200 shares of Apple stock ($34,600.) If Apple's stock continues to grow at 10%/year, which it has done for the last 3 years, you should be able to sell that stock next year for a 10% profit, which is the exact price of an Apple Vision Pro.
