Just for clarity, it sounds like the iOS app doesn't allow this type of data to be shared. True?
Unclear. We're trying to find out.
Apple doesn't allow this type of data to be accessed without user knowledge.
    Neither does Android 10.

As for sandboxing that's long been part of Android security. It's not a unique iOS thing.

Are all Android devices running Android 10?  Are they all capable enough to be updated?  I honestly don't know a ton about versions of Android the fragmentation that exists and how updating OS's are carried out.

And Google will parse all the information and monetize it somehow.  Leopards don't change their spots.  Who on earth in business with a brain would trust Google?
Looks like Apple trust Google enough receive from them between $9B and $12B to make Google Search the default search engine in Safari.  Based in your post, you don't think Apple have brains, right?

I somewhat agree.. but Google being the default search engine doesn't mean it's the only one available to use. I have used Duck Duck Go with Safari for years now on my personal IOS devices and Macs, as well as my woke supplied Windows machine using Firefox as the browser.

  • Foxconn says coronavirus will not impact manufacturing, Apple has alternatives ready

people are getting sick and potentially dying but don’t worry, we will do our best to not let it impact share holder return.
You need to think about how many people die from the common flu in the U.S., not to mention the rest of the world.

    https://abcnews.go.com/Health/1300-people-died-flu-year/story?id=67754182

"So far, 8,200 people have died and 140,000 people have been hospitalized during the 2019-2020 flu season, according to preliminary estimates from the CDC."

    DBAD...

    Exactly...

Flu deaths aren't being talked about across every national news outlet or here on Appleinsider though.  So it doesn't really truly matter.. hahaha  People make me laugh with the bleeding heart nonsense.

  • China's Coronavirus will impact Apple's business - but how much is unknown

    Fatman said:
The US needs to get manufacturing the hell out of that whole region  - Chinese tariffs, communist government, pollution, horrendous labor practices now diseases, Even other Asian countries like Japan have government issues, tsunami/earthquakes - bring it back home Apple!

Do you think it's just that easy?  What you are saying sounds good, but it is a massive undertaking. It's not like all iPhone parts are made here and we just airdrop them in China and they are suddenly assembled. Haha  This is the same thing I think about when the POTUS slaps tariffs on products and he demands companies make products here. We don't have the supply chain or infrastructure currently to support this. Most factories are gone or empty shells here anymore.. we haven't actually made many things here in a considerable amount of time.

Do I want the products made here.. hell yes.. Do I want the jobs here to help the people and economy..again..hell yes I do. I just don't think folks are realizing what it would take to " Bring it back home" as you put it. I didn't even mention the price increases we as consumers would see if things came back here.

  • The top malware threat for macOS infects one in 10 users

    maltz said:
One in 10?  That number is fairly hard to believe, but if it's even in the ballpark, I wonder why macOS' built-in malware protection isn't blocking this more effectively.
It comes a page pop up from safari. It's the user giving the permission. People clicking and giving permission to things that they think are legit.. I am not sure how Apple's malware protection can keep that in check.  It's not an automatic process.. the user has to ok it.

I have seen this pop up on Ipad Safari as well. So it's obviously fake because IOS devices aren't using Flash..
