  • Apple documentary 'Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me' debuts at AFI Fest

So yet another Disney Pop Tart bursts into the spotlight, makes a ton of money, befriends some really bad people, gets hooked on drugs, has a meltdown, and spends years recovering her sanity and control over her addictions.

And this is branded as "After years in the limelight, Selena Gomez achieves unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light."

This is NOT unique in any way. Unique would be a story like the late Annette Funicello, the OG Disney Mousketeer, who lived her entire life as a role model, never even remotely considering activities that would damage the reputations of Walt Disney, the
Disney Corporation, or herself. Disney Corp. has changed, and not for better, now in the business of pimping young girls and then discarding them when they have trouble, just the way the studio system of MGM used to do with performers like Judy Garland or Elizabeth Taylor.

I think most of her stepping away from the spotlight was because of her health, not drugs. She had a kidney transplant in 2017 as well as lupus and myositis currently.

  • Apple Watch battery blowout sends man to emergency room

The odds of 2 apple products exploding for 1 person seems highly unlikely. Would be really interested to see if he was using 3rd party chargers.
I only see one Apple product with a faulty battery mentioned per owner. Also, how would a 3rd-party inductive Watch charger result in a faulty battery? I'm not saying it can't happen, but I'd expect the charging pad to overheat long before the Watch if there was an issue.

Pretty sure investigation will find this to be fake
    Why assume they are lying?
I agree...  My GF's Series 2 had an issue with the battery expanding and pushing the rear of the watch completely off. I took it into the Apple Store and it was replaced immediately without issue. She didn't claim to he hurt and we didn't mention any compensation since the watch had been replaced no questions asked. I had also purchased Applecare+ but I think it may have been past that 2nd year and they still replaced it without question. I thought they handled it very well..

I think when people report a story to news agencies or get a lawyer seeking compensation, is when the assumption of lying comes into play. I think Apple sending him something asking for it not to be reported is a little suspect in my opinion. Replace the watch take care of the customer then worry about who finds out.

Where is the details on the lossless???

So, they support Bluetooth 5.3 which makes them compatible with LC3plus but this isn’t lossless and they haven’t confirmed this is present or coming.
It also mentions 48kHz audio but specifically for SharePlay? I am not sure what that means? Is it that shareplay works via Airplay 2 and not BT so that is how thay are getting to lossless quality ( 48kHz )?

  • What to expect from the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max

So, have the old rumors of the always-on displays been discarded? Or just forgotten?

What an absolutely awful idea.  I don't want to have to put my phone in a drawer just to be able to sleep.
At this point you haven't realized that an always on display doesn't mean it's on full brightness constantly? The screen drops to 1hz and goes super dim. Currently the iPhone 13 Pro can drop to 10 Hz which is technically enough for an AOD but I assume Apple didn't want to roll this out until the could get o 1hz like the Apple Watch for the sake of maximum battery life.

1Hz isn't confirmed but has been reported by Ross Young who has about a 92% accuracy rating according to Apple Track.

I have had an Apple watch series 5 for almost 3 years now and can fully attest that it is barely on bright and not disruptive in a dark room.

  • Seven years later, Apple was right to kill off the 3.5mm headphone jack

There are pros and cons to having a headphone jack.

It isn't about 'courage' though. That has nothing to do with anything.

Right now (2022) I'd still Rather have one than not have one.

I thought the "courage" remark came when they killed the power brick in the iPhone, wit the 3.5mm jack? Both are silly examples of courage, but I just didn't think they said that same thing 7 years ago as well?
