  • Tim Cook will talk to US Lawmakers about China challenges

Responsible US lawmakers: “China is a hostile nation intent on defeating the USA from within and without. We need to be careful and up our game, not feeding the dragon.”

cook: “but but but… more money! Sure we handed over data centers and invested 275 billion dollars into an actual evil communist dictatorship, but it’s good for our checkbooks.”

Will he tell the truths? The truths that numerous AI members pretend to know China best?
AI is on your side. Posts critical of Xi tend to get deleted.
AI knows who is telling the truth, who is inciting hatred and that is bad to Apple.
Well, we all know that you aren't telling the truth, so there is that.

Sure, it's just spying on China's Android users, and sure, the Chinese government would never acquire that data...but, concerning nonetheless.

  • AutoCAD gets native Apple Silicon support, boasts 2x speed jump

...and this, for all of you makers, engineers, et al...

Fusion 360, a popular 3D design software, is set to achieve full native support for Apple Silicon chipsets (i.e. M1 & M2) by the summer of 2023. The delay in support is due to the need for 100% compatibility between components from over 100 third-party vendors, including Autodesk.

  • Starting April 1, all a Twitter blue checkmark will mean is the user is paid

The blue check mark never meant anything. It’s been widely reported that many accounts that actually were notable had their verification mark withheld due to ideological or political bias by former Twitter twits.

In some cases, the check marks were provided via bribe and shady briber services. That’s how stupid the whole thing used to be.

It was one of Theo things:

    1) a leftist caste system.
    2) a scam for crooks to get paid.

At least now, with actual good management, things are on the up and up. You pay a subscription fee for value adds and a verification mark shows that your account is accountable.

It’s fair, honest, and good business.

New Twitter > Old Grubby Twitter x1000.
I must have missed the part about "actual good management" but then again, I was watching Elon burn a couple of ten's of billions in valuation.

China’s continuing aggression and warnings of conflict if the U.S. doesn’t “change course”, along with the possibility of sending lethal arms aid to the Russians in Ukraine is spooking the world. It’s amazing that Xi is willing to risk China’s economic future. Europe played footsies with Russia for decades thinking being nice and playing ball would keep the Russian Bear satisfied. Then Putin showed up. Now Xi has designs on the East. You have two cultures that have never experienced democracy and have always been ruled by emperors or dictators. What did you expect?

After WWII the world had Pax Americana for close to eighty years. Is that gone today?
If you take a step back, rub your eyes and take a fresh look, you might see a different picture.

BRICS and the BRI/DSR have managed to pull in most of the world.

Now the US is facing dollar pushback and the very real possibility of being overtaken in technology output.

If anyone is spooked and scrambling to change course it is the US.

Reality says (and you can check it yourself) that the BRI has basically run through all of Latin America, Africa and Asia. Middle East is pivoting to China and Russia doesn't have too many options.

What's left? Not much and China trade with the US and EU is nothing to be scoffed at.
He is full of double truths. Most of what he said about China is fed by the Western world especially US government and media.
Nah. China is out for power and has a target on the West; its plan is to destabilize and weaken the US by partnering with Russia.

We already know they don’t respect IP and routinely engage in corporate espionage.

We already know the CCP runs the show over their corporations, and can demand access to records and data any time they wish.

We already know they’re a brutalist authoritarian regime that doesn’t respect human rights nor democracy.

…these are just facts, not opinions. Go read the UN reports or first-hand accounts by former citizens.
You are full of double truths. Double truths that violate facts and common sense.
China is a failing authoritarian state, with a collapsing economy and population. That Western companies want to move out of China completely or move out some of there operations is a fact.

Want to know what will happen to China if they supply arms to Russia? FAFO.
You are full of double truths. You are predicting a future of China. You should know prediction is not truth.
