If you're using your ATV 4K with HDR/Dolbyvision mode turned on, you really need to adjust the default settings. By default, the ATV will output EVERYTHING in HDR mode which can really screw with the picture on SDR content. Change your output mode to 4K SDR and then turn on the "frame rate and dynamic range matching" option. This way it only turns on HDR when the content supports it.

Better than AirPlay would be direct Apple Music support so the audio doesn't have to bounce through your phone. My Yamaha AVR supports this for Spotify, Pandora, and Deezer. But of course, Apple Music itself would need to support controlling a remote device which is not currently a thing.

I think the reports about "killing the X" were true, but people didn't understand what that really meant. When a new iPhone is released, the previous year's model is sold at a $100 discount. But the X was not an ordinary iPhone - Apple billed it as "next year's iPhone now" at a higher price. Now that it actually is next year, the niche that the X previously occupied is gone. I wager that there's just going to be the "X2", X2 LCD, 8, and 7.

Maybe Spotify users just have more discerning taste. I know I'm listening to Pusha T's Daytona instead.
