Someone says this every year and someone else discredits this statement every year.  Hardware has been announced SEVERAL times at WWDC.  Why do people keep saying this?

Exactly. Not to mention that we already know Apple will announce and showcase its VR headset at WWDC, one of its biggest (and riskiest) HARDWARE launches in the history of the company. So much for "not a hardware conference." 

Not what I said. Why would the Air for example be announced at WWDC? What feature is so good as to be announced at WWDC?

Why the trade-in? Could it be the Mac Pro at WWDC? Will it continue "upgrade = replace entire computer" or will memory, graphics or the motherboard once again be upgradeable? And will we get the option of nano textured ceramic ultra pro wheels at less than $4k  - 1 long week to WWDC.

The Logic Pro screen looks like it's mostly a rebranded Garage Band with a few extra features. There has always been some overlap and likely even shared code (Smart Drummer, etc.) over the years. The 2021 MacBook Pro in maxed out configuration makes it possible to effectively record at 96/24 with less than 5 milliseconds of latency. It prompted a lot of people to sell off their UA hardware. You can also put stacks of plugins on dozens of tracks without slowing things down. I seriously doubt this would be remotely possible on an iPad unless it is similarly provisioned (64 GB RAM, M? Max or Ultra, etc).

Perhaps it is an iPadOS device in laptop form factor, with permanently attached keyboard. Seems like lots of people get an accessory keyboard/cover for their iPad and leave it on, usually resulting in a package thicker than a current MacBook Air or even approaching a MacBook Pro. An integrated keyboard on an iPad-like device could be as slim and light as the old 12" MacBook or 11" MBA.

Of course, price is a factor--it could be close to a MacBook (or even more), so why not just get a MacBook? But for iPad devotees, a right-priced, lightweight, integrated iPad/keyboard could be attractive.
