Hands on: New video editing abilities make ScreenFlow 8 a Mac professional's must-have too...

T-Mobile says Apple Watch drove subscriber growth in Q2
I still have my OG series 0 Apple Watch and I was a person who was very averse to wearing watches prior to getting this. It has become indispensable to me -- mostly as a "receptionist," if you like, for my iPhone. The Watch only shows me notifications from people or things I have deemed important, taps me rather than makes noise, allows me to control iTunes remotely, and has really helped me improve my health overall (and weight specifically). I will likely get a new one by Xmas, not sure if I'm willing to go with a Series 3, but ... yes, that might move my iPhone to the "not needed everywhere anymore" category -- which is really remarkable when you think about it. -

I think some commenters above are leaping to (erroneous) conclusions without having actually tried the program. If you:
A. Produce how-to videos for YouTube/Vimeo:
B. Produce social videos for same, or
C, Produce instructional videos
Chances are quite good that you’ll find Screencast sits exactly BETWEEN iMovie and FCP, for less than half the cost (and a lot less learning curve) than FCP. Sure, if you make entertainment/professional videos or a living, Screencast isn’t for you. But if you’re a teacher, YouTuber, or someone who doesn’t have a full-time, well paid job producing videos, Screencast is an affordable godsend. -
