Some macOS Mojave 10.14.4 users having problems with Gmail & G Suite authentication in App...
loopless said:It seems to affect all Gsuite users. The workarounds involve deleting the account from Mail and adding back in as a regular IMAP account. This requires using an app token to generate a unique password if you use TFA or allowing “insecure” apps to access your account. Of course you lose calendar and contact integrations.
I’m sorry but this is sort of unbelievable that Apple let this happen. -
Editorial: Senator Warren's stance on big tech breakup is dangerous politics
lkrupp said:heli0s said:In 2019 America only 2-3 major companies dominate every major economic sector, from ecommerce to air travel, to the TV shows you watch - if think that's good for consumers, you're massively ignorant of both economics and history. Tech monopolies are no different than monopolies in any other sphere - there is a point when too big is bad for consumers and the company itself. Monopolies have no interest in innovation, they have an interest in rent-seeking.
As an Apple-focused site, look no further than the keyboard issues of recent Macs. If you want macOS, there is ONE company that makes it. So take that shitty keyboard or go use Windows. Real choice! -
Munster: Siri coming to Beats, Apple to expand AR capabilities at WWDC
"Siri coming to anything" is literally irrelevant until Siri gets A LOT smarter. Otherwise we'll have just yet another version of Siri on Beats that's frustrating in a different way than it is on iOS, macOS and HomePod and ATV. I'll be truly disappointed this WWDC unless a huge portion of it is under the theme "Siri is now a lot smarter and consistent on all your devices".
