Apple to acquire voice app firm PullString in deal worth below $100M, report says

But when will Apple use their tech? Apple acquired a company years ago that had a voice assistant that was so smart it makes all the current assistants look like 4-year-olds.
if I ask Siri, “How old is Ben Kingsley?”, get the answer then ask, “Who is his wife?”, get the answer then ask “What is her bra size?” Siri comes back with “Here’s what I found on the web for ‘bra size’.” Complete fail! That proves Siri sucks compared to all others even though I haven’t tried this exact same sequence anywhere else. I heard Siri sucks so it’s true because of internet.

I’m with you. I use Siri multiple times a day for a variety of tasks and rarely have issues. When I run into problems it’s usually because I have a poor connection. -

Rumor claims 2019 iPhone will get 10MP TrueDepth camera, stick to Lightning

And I find the Lightning connector and port to be less fiddly than any USB port.
I put my iPhone on a dock every night, if it was USB-C I’m not sure how easy it would be in the dark and with one hand reaching over the side of my bed. I think I’ll miss Lightning if we get a different port. -
Ikea's HomeKit-compatible Smart Shades come to the US on Apr. 1
AppleInsider said:European prices range from 99 to 155 euros, or about $113 to $181. Available dimensions run from 60-by-195 centimeters (23.6-by-76.8 inches) to 140-by-195 centimeters (55.1-by-76.8 inches).
Very few HomeKit-compatible shades are on the market, typically because of factors like custom sizing and elaborate electronics, which can also push prices out of the average person's range.
Edit: thinking about it more, it would be nice if someone came out with just the mounting kit that would allow the HomeKit integration. We don't need to replace our shades but maybe they could be swapped into a motorized and HomeKit ready chassis. That would be nice.
