Tim Cook isn't going to get fired, and Steve Jobs isn't rolling over in his grave
Mike Wuerthele said:bobolicious said:Cook has been a master of monetisation for shareholders as a measure of success yet is this the Apple we or Steve wanted...?Would a reference be helpful along with clarification of the term 'won' ?What I found was that the case was 'narrowed', and it is but one of many, not the least the one resulting in a $95M settlement against Apple re: Siri...?“In this case, with Apple, there doesn’t appear to be a mistake. Apple knowingly promised one thing and did exactly the opposite. That is what makes this case feel so very different.”...and the list goes on...Was the writing on the wall with the release of Photos - I understand it as an app that indexes everything in the backgound with no off switch ? FWIW I really liked the integration of iTunes especially in iWeb where one could access media between other apps for creative authoring. If Apple is promoting (and monetizing) privacy and yet apps that Apple offers do not offer privacy, does it diminish the value of the platform in such a context...?Perhaps a deep dive (objective) article into all this would be of interest...?
