What Ii have always done with Beta versions is loaded it to an external drive and booted it from that drive to test - leaving the released version alone to avoid such a thing from happening.

I have the 12.9 M1 and have ordered the M2 version - both at 256 GB WiFi - I use the iPhone tethered instead of the overpriced 5G radio.

At this point the iPad Pro is the main device I use - the MBP 14 is almost exclusively a desktop creature and my 60 year old eyes prefer the iPad Pro to my phone, so I decided to jump to the newer chipset. The lack of changes to the rest of the design are not a BFD to me.

One of the nice things about the outside being unchanged is you can save and not have to replace the Magic Keyboard w Trackpad. Apple does not take them in trade and they are more than a little overpriced IMHO.

All I can say about Steve Jobs is that he put one hell of a dent in the universe he inhabited while he was here.

He gave the keys to Tim Cook and told him to run it as he saw fit - not as he thought he (Jobs) would. He was wise enough to know that all companies change after the founder leaves the stage - Disney, Ford, Microsoft, CBS and endless others changed after the iconoclastic founder died or stepped away. Just as Tesla and Space X will after Elon leaves.

Just my speculation, but I think had he survived his cancer Jobs was preparing to step away from day to day running of Apple. That yacht he built and the age of his children at that time seems to imply he was wanting to refocus his life closer to home and family. It is truly sad that he was unable to see that day.

The people who built Apple v1 are all gone from the company now and most of the core group that were with Jobs during the return and rebuilding v3 have left the company. It is a very different place now and many times larger than the company was even at the time of his passing. It is now very much the company built by Tim Cook.

I have owned one of every generation of Apple Watch except one and have never seen this.
The older watches have often been given to friends and family that did not have one and all have been well behaved.

Not sure if they are adaptable to smaller devices but newer designs of battery (LFP) are pushing out the Lithium Ion battery in the Solar Generator, BEV and other markets because they have better life and tend to be safer.

After a little research I decided to get the 14 Pro and pulled the trigger today. I was unsure if I wanted it until I read that the improved modem means far better 5G performance on T-Mobile.
