I really wish Apple would just let us pick out a band instead of bundling one you do not want with them.

To be honest, I was more interested in the watches this time than the phones. Cell phones are a pretty mature market now and there is no real advantage with a 14 Pro over a 13 Pro. The watches are still developing and I was planning on moving from a WiFi Series 7 to one with its own cell radio. With the military/veteran discount the Cellular watch is only $719, so I went ahead and got the Ultra.

So this cycle I am keeping my iPhone 13 pro and upgrading my watch to the ultra. Now just waiting for the next generation of iPad Pro.

Ordered the Ultra Watch as soon as the store came up and got a nice discount through the Veterans and Military Store. That will offset the taxes.
Seems like the trade in on watches is a little stingy:  $155 for a series 7 WiFi.

Unions are poison.
Apple should go to court and challenge the Wagner Act itself. That would finish off unions in the US.

The market for these is couch cushion money.

Unions - at least in the American model - are cancer.
A generation of young people are going to learn a very harsh lesson before all of this is over.

Give you an example:
Non union auto workers make more money than UAW workers and get better benefits without paying union dues.
They also make better cars - note that Mercedes, Volkswagen, BMW, Volvo, Subaru Mazda, Toyota, Nissan, & Hyundai all located the plants in At-Will Right to Work states.

VW, Mitsubishi and Mazda all had life altering bad experiences with workers in - or agitating for- unions. Some of the staff at Tesla in Fremont are constantly agitating for a union -imagine that had some impact on the decision to locate the next factory in Texas.
