T-Mobile will shut down Sprint's 3G network in March
I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile earlier this year and the transformation of the network is very noticeable.
I travel around a lot and at first I considered switching back as the 5G was worse than AT&T LTE, the LTE was not as good as AT&Ts and there were still many places with no service. For a little cushion I activated the built in AT&T hotspot in my car for wi-fi calling backup on the road.
About 6 months later the network is very different. Rural areas and cities alike have solid service to include 5G. There are areas previously without signal on T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon that now have T-Mobile 5G service - pretty remote areas.
The only area rough around the edges is the millimeter wave 5G which is still problematic. I was in Nashville near Vanderbilt Thursday and the millimeter wave was up and running but the network not well optimized - crazy fast signals outside and nothing inside a simple brick restaurant. It was like this in Memphis recently as the same tech was rolled out but was much improved within a month or so.
T-Mobile’s network is noticeably changing very fast. -
Apple confirms new MacBook Pro models have only slower UHS-II SD card slots
I was glad to see the ports except for the camera card slot. I have a Satechi breakout that has that kind of stuff.
But I do not see it as anything to get upset about. I use camera cards but I do not personally have a need for a faster card reader. My days of making my living were a long time ago back in film photography days. Nice to see a comment from a Pro using Leica. -
Parallels Desktop 17.1 brings full Windows 11 support to macOS Monterey

The only issue I have seen is getting it activated. Windows 11 is free to owners of Windows 10 and I have a license for 10 Pro but it was not installed on my ARM Mac for obvious reasons. Have a message in to Microsoft and will see.
Try a Windoze 7 product key. I don't know if it'll work on the ARM version, but it definitely will for Intel versions. -
Apple fires leader of #AppleToo movement
Nobody should have to put up with nonsense, abuse or discrimination in the workplace - period.
Beyond that, many of the self-anointed social justice warrior types see racism, sexism, etc. under every cushion, crevice and closet.
Things in the workplace are not always as they might appear to those without direct knowledge of why someone was hired, promoted or chosen for something and why someone else was passed over. -
