If Apple merely was motivated by “environmental concerns” they should have reduced the price. It was “de-contenting” - a common practice to hide a price increase. 

And no. It is not illegal. Just a scummy way to do business.

I am in the Apple upgrade program for the iPhone and think I will be taking a pass. The cell phone is a pretty mature technology and I use my iPad Pro for mobile stuff. 11 payments in, I am not feeling the need for the phone unless it has significantly better 5G performance.

Probably will order the new watch as my GF wants to upgrade from her Fitbit and already said she wants my Series 6 if I replace it.

The iPad Mini upgrades were interesting. If it had Face ID I would order one right now - the finger sensors do not work well for me.

I am looking forward to the next round of iPad Pros and the M2 series Macs.

I am really surprised that a second generation HomePod was not announced- the HomePod mini is a nice device and worth the $99, a larger and more capable one seems like it should be in the works.

I currently have the top Apple bundle and wish it did not include this waste of time. Getting yelled at by some tatted up Gen Y “instructor”over crappy club music is not coaching and is not needed- I have a YMCA membership with real classes, equipment and live people open from 5 AM - 10 PM 363 days a year.

And listening to Dolly Parton is not what I want when I am out hiking trails with my Dog.

This should be a stand alone.

I have long wondered why Apple does not buy Twitter.
It is obvious Apple would like a presence in the social media space and Twitter is far more useful than Facebook, Instagram and the rest.

Always wondered why Apple did not market these to parents because they can serve as a WiFi phone that does not require a plan for your kids.

Most places your kids will be these days has WiFi and with parental controls limited to approved contacts, this is a way to let your kids have a phone without getting tagged for a plan.
