Apple mulls cryptocurrency support in Apple Pay as competitors build lead
Bitcoin has never gained legitimacy nor have any of the other digital tulip bulbs.
Precious metals are a good hedge against the diminished value of fiat currencies issued by profligate governments. They have both intrinsic value and scarcity.
We will be seeing digital currencies, but they will be issued by central banks. -
Apple Music-streamed Astroworld crowd crush kills 8
I know things are still getting sorted out but when I first got a news notice over the weekend I figured it was a crush incident.
Those old enough will remember a Who concert in (I think) Cincinnati where the entry doors were mostly closed and the crowd crushed and killed a number of people. A couple of years later I was in a near crush incident with my GF at a Dire Straits concert (Brothers in Arms) in Stuttgart, Germany where we were lucky to get out unhurt. They had festival seating and that was the last time I have gone to any large event with festival seating.
When you have literally thousands of people pushing ever forward to a stage and you are trapped up close to the front the danger is very real. The pressure was so great it lifted us and all around us up off the ground- off our feet - which is as disturbing as you could imagine. I held her hand and when I got my feet down we got up off the Schleyer Halle floor and sat in the regular (cheaper) seats. Nobody was killed that night but there were many injured and many more scared out of their wits. -
AirPods 3 review: An excellent AirPods evolution, but fit can be problematic
Not sure why a white plastic earbud should have “social clout”.
The AirPods in any version never have appealed to me. The Beats Pro wireless are my daily driver and the new Fit Pro just arrived over the weekend. I was over shiny white polycarbonate a long time ago and cannot fathom why anyone thinks that is appealing. AirPods are the dorkiest looking thing this side of Brutus the Buckeye. -
Peloton latest to blame Apple for financial woes
Buying a Peloton is an IQ test. Buy one and you fail.
Overpaying for a exercise bike (ding) and subscribing to an overpriced service where someone yells at you from a remote studio (not a real coach) (ding, ding).
All because you do not want to go outside and ride a real bicycle. And with a real bike you can put them on a stand and ride them indoors if you must. All for less than a Peloton.
Or you can go down to a real gym and tackle a spin class. Cannot imagine why anyone would prefer that over riding a real bike outside.
