  • Rumor: Apple intends to replace Touch ID fingerprint scanner with advanced facial recognit...

They could do a two camera solution that would sense depth to get around the Xerox thing. Though in this case if anyone wants to unlock your phone they just have told hold it to your face. I kind of wonder if this is going to enable a lot more law enforcement types to get around bugging Apple to unlock a phone simply by having the person have to stand in front of it.

  • New Siri icon location could hint at touchscreen home button in Apple's 'iPhone 8'

That button has always been there, it just used to look like a mic.

I'd kill for one of these iMac Pros. I don't think the graphics apps I use could ever push it to it's limit ... but that's one of the things that makes it so appealing!

  • PSA: Don't install iOS 11 beta on your main iPhone unless you hate yourself

This is BS. I have it running on my 2016 Touch Bar laptop, 2011 17” laptop, 2 2011 iMacs, 3 iPads (mini, large pro and smaller pro), 2 iPhone 7+, TV4 and 2 Watches series 2.

We have not encountered anything yet. In fact I was just talking to my business partner saying “they must have had this done & sitting around waiting for awhile because I don’t recall a “beta 1” feeling and running so “done” feeling across so many platforms.

TV is the star here by the way. Really nice changes to the interface. Much better. Much easier.

The only thing i can I can think of as to why someone MIGHT run into problems - if any - would be if they did a “rape & scrape” (that’s what we call reformatting a device or computer) and installing from scratch. I don’t know why someone would do that but since we DONT do that, all I can say is running it like an update resulting in a smooth running cross platform update.
Dude, "rape and scrape"? Really? It's 2017, do the world a favour and come up with a phrase that doesn't normal sexual violence.

  • Apple expands AppleCare+ to cover Mac users for accidental damage

This is huge for people with laptops. I think my sister will for sure get this on her next MacBook Pro ... which is good because she always uses her accidental damage repairs. I only ever use the warranty for actual problems that arise ... she once tacoed her iPad with the seat of her car as she pushed it back ... I feel sorry for her Apple products. They cry out to me to save them when I see her. (Other people claim they can't hear the cries ... but they are real.)
