Sorry, Netflix support isn't coming to the Apple TV app
StrangeDays said:It’s striking that the biggest apps (YouTube, Prime Video, Netflix, Max) are all among the worst, most poorly implemented video players out there. YT and Prime are simply god awful, ignoring native UX paradigms and using their crap non-native interfaces. Max has regressed and now doesn’t even support “what did he say?”, or rewind captions; hell, even edge-click to rewind is non-native there now, requiring two clicks to activate instead of one, and other weird anomalies and departures from the native player.
The bigger the company, the more their app sucks, seems to be the rule.
it follows the poor standard of all tech
worst communications companies are the biggest even all of them are bad at communicating. Windows biggest and chock full of bad and outright stupid interface elements. Outlook has the dumbest conventions that some reason doesn’t just follow windows dumb but takes it up a notch. Biggest Cad-BIM vendors are there by inertia not skill. The bigger the news organisation the less demanding they are on facts and more just content to fill the void.Bigger just isn’t better -
Apple Maps renames Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America after official database update
tzterri said:From what I understand, it's only for American devices the rest of the world will still see the Gulf of Mexico.
As this is an executive action it will disappear with the next president.
Are we great yet because I'm just embarrassedHow long till a conservative politician publicly scolds Apple for not following the proclamation and outs themself? -

Fascism is a far-right system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls, violent suppression of the opposition, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.
The U.K. is capitalist, and we can certainly argue that this would be a stringent movement control the rest of the definition doesn't fit at all. There U.K. isn't governed by the far-right, it isn't a dictatorship, there isn't violent suppression of opposition and the list goes on. So, yeah, not fascism at allEven if the monarchy is useless, feckless and gormless.
given this is coming from the supposedly left wing party it would suggest the right wing religious faction is in command of the party. It would seem you are at least proto fascist -
Apple is working on a 'lifelike' robot lamp, and it's just as cute as you'd expect
entropys said:At first I reckon that would be extremely cool to play around with but I suspect very creepy about 3.14159 seconds into doing any work.
as said earlier, Apple would produce something effectively invisible.
